Last week I went out and bought the Sandisk Sansa E260 4gb MP3 Player as my trusty old Palm Tungsten E had died after dropping it. The reason that I need an MP3 player is to listen to music to and from work on my bike in the summer and the bus in the Winter. I shopped around to see what I needed and wanted and this is how I chose the Sandisk Sansa E260 4gb MP3 Player:

• I wanted some video
• I was interested in having an FM radio
• I knew that having a visual menu system was important
• I wanted enough space that I could save a lot of files but I did not have a use for 40 or 80 gigs, come on it is only music.
• I wanted to have a cheap player with all of these options

The search was fun but the Sandisk was the only player other than perhaps and IPOD Nano that fit all of my priorities and I am not even sure if it does video at all and oif course the ipod FM tuner is an extra feature to buy. The other thing that is great is that in order to compete with the Nano and the Apple name the Sandisk Sansa E260 4gb MP3 Player is really cheap.

Now that I have had a week with the Sandisk Sansa E260 4gb MP3 Player I have found it great. No problems with the music, I just load it from Windows Media Player and the video is pretty good although the screen is a little small. The video plays at about 15 frames a second which is pretty good especially with cartoon type shows like Family Guy or the Simpsons.

Form factor

I have been searching around a bit for an MP3 player and to this point have been using my trusty Tungsten E. Here is a great article on what to look for in a MP3 player.

If you’ve just decided that right now is the right time to purchase an MP3 player then you might well feel mostly confused about the choices you have to make. The iPod Nano is the single greatest piece of hardware in the iPod line and has the best features of the iPod line.

The original iPod had a black and white screen and then finally had a color screen. The iPod Nano has a color screen. The iPod Shuffle was really small and now the iPod Nano also has a very small size. Once you have seen and felt this new iPod Nano you will realize that you have a great piece of engineering. All the music and video you can stand.

Remember when Apple put these things out a while ago djust before U2’s last tour? Well of course with every gommick there is the end of the marketing when they try to blow them out. These Ipods are still great and now the price is even better. Just imagine, everyone going back to school and there is a new marketing time especially with Chritmas shopping about to start and Apple and Amazon have a bit of a glut of these special U2 Ipods still available, they had better get rid of them quick before they can’t get rid of them at all and have to rebuild them to sell as something else rebranded.

Check out the price it’s really great and then you will have the Ipod you have always wanted and not have to worry about getting a good deal. It’s already a great deal!
